In the season premiere, the newest Bachelorette, 27-year-old Desiree - whom viewers will remember as the bridal stylist and girl next door who competed for Sean Lowe's affections last season on The Bachelor - meets 25 eager suitors, including a suave and debonair financial advisor with a dark secret in his past, a hard-charging federal prosecutor, a sexy former professional soccer player and single dad, a free-spirited drilling fluid engineer with a captivating sense of humor, a self-proclaimed Southern gentleman - also a single father - and a Cuban Casanova who is a gentle giant and might be too good to be true. Is Desiree's soul mate among them? Tensions are high as the season's first rose ceremony begins, but, by the end, Desiree will continue on her search for love with 19 men who hope to win her heart.

A bridal shop provides the unlikely backdrop for Desiree's first one-on-one date with the tall, dark and handsome Brooks; rap superstar SOULJA BOY carefully crafts an aptly named rap music video - "Right Reasons" - using Desiree and a group of slick bachelors; and Bryden is treated to a scenic, romantic road trip up the beautiful California coast. But some of the men are already fighting for Desiree's love and nearly come to blows. After careful deliberation, three men are sent packing as the Bachelorette attempts to make her fairytale come true.

Desiree ups the ante in a winner-takes-all game of dodgeball, but things turn ugly quickly when a massive pileup ends with someone making a trip to the ER. Singer KATE EARL serenades the Bachelorette and one the men with some touching love songs in a special performance. A death-defying individual date with Kasey goes awry, morphing from a fantasy into a nightmare. Roping and riding take center stage as the stunt coordinator for Disney's upcoming feature film The Lone Ranger shows some of the guys the ins and outs of being a cowboy. However, it is Chris Harrison's surprise call to Desiree that starts a wild chain reaction: It's revealed that one deceptive man not only has ulterior motives for being there, but has a girlfriend to boot! Desiree's firestorm of emotion makes her question all the remaining men. Is her Cinderella story about to crash and burn?

Fan-favorite JoJo Fletcher, 25, gets a second chance at "happily ever after," as the season begins with her meeting 26 handsome bachelors. Will one of them be her Prince Charming? Before the evening begins, former Bachelorettes Kaitlyn Bristowe, Desiree Hartsock Siegfried and Ali Fedotowsky offer their support and advice. And it wouldn't be a first rose ceremony without a surprise! Before the ceremony can even begin, an unexpected visitor from the past arrives and pulls the shocked Bachelorette aside, as the other men wonder if this man is new competition for JoJo's heart. At the end of the night, 20 men continue on in the hopes of winning JoJo's heart.

Desiree starts her world tour searching for love in the popular, nostalgic seaside resort of Atlantic City, New Jersey, where some of her hunky beaus will compete for the coveted title of "The Bachelorette's Mr. America." And on a more serious note, the Bachelorette and James go on a very different type of date to Seaside Heights, New Jersey, as they view the damage done by Superstorm Sandy and meet a couple who survived the hurricane, but lost everything they had, spending their 38th wedding anniversary in a Red Cross shelter. What surprises do Desiree and James have in store for the couple - and for each other? As the waves crash on shore, the tension at the cocktail party builds. Desperate times call for desperate measures and the men try and do whatever they can to ensure they get a rose to travel with Desiree to the next exciting location – Munich.
