Deborah Roberts

American journalist Deborah Roberts was born in Perry, Georgia, and graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in journalism. After graduating, Roberts started her career in local television stations and worked her way to NBC News. She eventually became a correspondent for "Dateline NBC" (NBC, 1992-). She would later move on to a series of other shows, having been part of "20/20" (ABC, 1978-), "ABC World News Tonight" (ABC, 1948-) and "Good Morning America" (ABC, 1975-). Her reporting has granted her an Emmy and a Clarion Award, as well as a Distinguished Alumnus Award from University of Georgia for her career's accomplishments.
