Deborah A. Forte is an award-winning creator and producer of family movies, television programming, websites, interactive games and apps. As President of Scholastic Media and Executive Vice President of Scholastic Inc., Ms. Forte's productions have earned more than 100 industry awards-including an Oscar, 6 Emmys, Webbies and the Humanitas Prize. Ms. Forte has created and produced some of the most successful and enduring global children's media franchises, including the award-winning Goosebumps, The Magic School Bus, Clifford The Big Red Dog, I Spy, Animorphs and WordGirl to name a few. In addition to Goosebumps, Ms. Forte's film credits include The Golden Compass starring Daniel Craig and Nicole Kidman, which won an Oscar for Best Achievement in Visual Effects, Tuck Everlasting, The Babysitter's Club, and The Indian in the Cupboard. Under her newly established Silvertongue Films banner, Ms. Forte is in development on Clifford and 39 Clues movies for Universal and The False Prince for Paramount. She has produced over 500 hours of television programming. Her series have enjoyed global success and are among the longest running and most highly rated in children's television with Magic School Bus, ISpy, and Word Girl winning Emmys. In addition to being recognized with some of the industry's highest honors, Ms. Forte's productions have been cited for the contributions they have made to society and children's education - garnering top honors from The Annenberg Public Policy Center, The Environmental Protection Agency, The National Hispanic Federation, The National Wildlife Federation and winning the prestigious Humanitas prize.
