David Verdaguer

David Verdaguer was one of the most popular Catalan-speaking actors. The comedian was best known for starring in many TV comedies, such as "Crackòvia" (TV3 2008-), as well as in the award-winning film "10.000 Km" (2014). Verdaguer was born in Catalan, Spain. His first television role was a brief appearance on the TV comedy "Plats Bruts" (El Terrat 1999-2002). He went on to appear regularly on such comedies as "Algunes imatges més" (La Productora 2004-) and "Zoo" (Diagonal TV 2008). He starred in the family drama "Three Days in the Family" (2009), a Catalan-language film that performed well at film festivals and received some international attention. He starred in the popular Catalonian sketch comedy show "Palònia" (TV3 2006-), which consisted largely of satirical celebrity impersonations. With over a million viewers, it became one of the most popular shows in Catalonia. He also starred in its spinoff, "Crackòvia," which focused on the world of sports celebrities. Verdaguer went on to star in and contribute additional dialogue to "10.000 Km," a romantic comedy about a long distance romance, costarring "Harry Potter" actress Natalia Tena. The film performed well at international film festivals, winning the "Special Jury Award" at South By Southwest in 2014.
