David Gant
David Gant was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Early on in his acting career, Gant landed roles in various films, including the drama "Babylon" (1980) with Brinsley Forde, "Mark Gertler Fragments of a Biography" (1981) and the Anthony Higgins drama "The Draughtsman's Contract" (1982). He also appeared in the Julie Andrews dramedy "Victor/Victoria" (1982), the Jeremy Irons drama "Moonlighting" (1982) and "Firefox" (1982). His film career continued throughout the nineties in productions like the comedic drama "The Summer House" (1993) with Jeanne Moreau, the action picture "Braveheart" (1995) with Mel Gibson and the Robert Downey Jr. dramatic adaptation "Restoration" (1995). He also appeared in "Dangerous Beauty" (1998) with Catherine McCormack. More recently, he tackled roles in the Samuel L. Jackson dramatic musical "The Red Violin" (1999), "The Messenger: the Story of Joan of Arc" (1999) with Milla Jovovich and the dramatic adventure "Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India" (2001) with Aamir Khan. He also appeared in the comedic adventure "S Club Seeing Double" (2003) with Hannah Spearritt. Most recently, Gant acted in the Gugu Mbatha-Raw biopic drama "Belle" (2014).
