Natalie Cole guest stars as attorney Serena Waldron in a case that deals with childhood obesity - A band of teenage siblings attack and sodomize a teenage girl, Jessica Delay (guest star Tricia Mara), who is a gifted piano student at a prestigious high school in Harlem. Through help from Medical Examiner Warner (Tamara Tunie) who identifies the attackers as overweight, Det. Stabler (Christopher Meloni) and his one-time partner Det. Lucius Blaine (guest star Anthony Anderson) track down the siblings, who claim they attacked Jessica to avenge an attack on their morbidly obese brother Rudi (Omar Benson Miller). After the case goes to trial, there is a hollow victory for the "winner" due to the enormous health issues facing the teenager. Mariska Hargitay, Dann Florek, Richard Belzer, Ice-T, B.D. Wong, and Diane Neal also star.

Detectives Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Eliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) are called in to investigate when a disabled woman, Cara Benson (guest star Lisa Arrindell Anderson), is beaten and raped. Though the victim's condition has rendered her unable to speak, the detectives soon deduce that someone close to her is responsible, with the lead suspects being her resentful sister (guest star Jill Scott) and troubled nephew (guest star Quinton Aaron). As the investigation continues, Benson and Stabler strive to make Cara comfortable with coming forward to stand up for herself and illuminating some of the disturbing truths about the assisted living business. When its discovered that a rather simple man has the ability to harness electricity, dangerous and deadly occurrences follow, and our unlikely trio investigates this super-charged oddity. Meanwhile, Olivia has a high-voltage encounter of a different kind when she is rocked by a blast from her past, and Dr. Bishop turns to his feathered friends and enlists homing pigeons to help him break the case.

Danny causes waves in the department when he investigates a closed case, the suicide of an firefighter, at the insistence of the man's 12 year old son. Meanwhile, Jaime saves a baby from a burning building but worries it will jeopardize his undercover work when he is billed a hero in the press.

Automobile mechanic Eric Greenwood is found murdered outside of a bar leading Detectives Cyrus Lupo (Jeremy Sisto) and Kevin Bernard (Anthony Anderson) to question the victim's boss, Bob Munsen (guest star Barry Del Sherman). Lupo and Cyrus discover Munsen was involved in an online relationship that Greenwood had sabotaged. Munsen profited over $60,000 dollars of stolen money, and laundered the money to his young, online lover, "Jenny Cheponis." The case takes some strange twists and turns, as "Jenny" turns out to be an older woman, Donna Cheponis (guest star Melissa Leo), with a missing daughter. Greenwood exposed the online relationship between Munsen and Cheponis and ended up dead, but "Jenny" remains missing. The detectives struggle to solve the case of murder and deceit in this online murder mystery case. Also Starring: Sam Waterston, S. Epatha Merkerson, Linus Roache, and Alana De La Garza.
