Gillian
Gillian becomes the cause of conflict between Dave Starsky and Ken "Hutch" Hutchinson when Hutch falls in love with the beautiful girl who has a secret life as a pornographic film star in "Gillian." Starsky's initial happiness for his partner's new romance sours during a raid of a massage parlor, when he accidentally discovers that Gillian is a high-priced call girl. Hutch's emotional involvement causes him to slip in a dangerous situation and Starsky realizes he must break up the romance be-fore Hutch discovers Gillian's real profession. Starsky offers her his $1,000 savings to leave town, but Gillian refuses, announcing that she will quit the rackets for Hutch. Starsky reluctantly agrees to give her more time. However, Mrs. Grossman, the owner of the massage parlor, refuses to allow Gillian to quit because she knows too much. Within hours, Gillian is murdered. When Starsky tells Hutch what he knows about the dead Gillian, the enraged, grief-stricken Hutch arranges a showdown with her racketeer killers in a downtown theater. Inside, the killers try to distract Hutch by filling the old movie house with the sights and sounds of a pornography film, starring the dead Gillian.
