When a newborn baby boy is discovered in the trash, Detectives Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Stabler (Christopher Meloni) use a bar t-shirt found at the scene to trace the crime back to a well-to-do college co-ed. At the precinct, the girl collapses and is treated for a potentially lethal post-conception complication, where she then admits to Benson that she had been raped and was unaware that she had been pregnant prior to the birth. The girl soon loses sympathy when it is also discovered that the girl had been connected to another abandoned newborn a year later, but was never arrested - and that the girl is the daughter of a city councilman. At the trial, Dr. Huang's (B.D. Wong) diagnosis of postpartum psychosis sets the stage for the defense - but it's soon discovered other factors are at play when the father of both abandoned babies is revealed. Dann Florek Richard Belzer, Ice-T, Diane Neal and Tamara Tunie also star.

The lives of two CSIs are put in danger when Horatio's old enemy, Clavo Cruz, returns on part one of a two-part episode. When a truck full of confiscated weapons is hijacked and the weapons are released back into the public, Horatio links the crime to Clavo, a man he put away for murder years ago. But on the day of Clavo's arraignment, a confiscated missile is launched into the courthouse to aid his escape, with Alexx inside. As the team tries to find Clavo and put him away for good, another member of Horatio's team is fatally shot. (TV_PG)

While investigating the disappearance of a former assistant district attorney, Jack talks to her boyfriend, Alan Davis (Jason Priestley - "Beverly Hills, 90210," "Tru Calling"). When Davis senses that he is in fact a suspect, he goes berserk and causes a shootout in the FBI offices. And in the incident's aftermath, the detectives must continue trying to solve the case, with an added sense of urgency.
