Costa Ronin

Costa Ronin had his passport filled before he ever came to Los Angeles to pursue roles in TV shows and movies. Born in Russia, Ronin started acting at the age of 5 in a summer camp production, which was the first of many theatrical roles he would take on. When he was a teenager, he moved to New Zealand and later Australia, which was where he was living when he got his first role on American television, in the inauspicious TV movie "Fatal Contact: Bird Flu in America" (ABC, 2006). He continued living Down Under while getting parts in a series of short films and TV movies for the next several years. It wasn't until Ronin was in the feature film "Red Dog" (2011) that he made the move to Los Angeles and started to get steady work in TV. Following guest-starring roles on network shows like "Extant" (CBS, 2014-15) and "Scorpion" (CBS, 2014-) and FX series "The Strain" (2014-), Ronin got his big break when he landed the role of tech-savvy spy Oleg Burov during the second season of "The Americans" (FX, 2013-). What was originally intended to be a two-episode arc continued to grow, eventually landing Ronin screen time in more than 50 episodes of the Cold War-era drama series. Filming ``The Americans'' hasn't prevented Ronin from pursuing film projects, as he nabbed a lead role in "Brighton Beach," a medical thriller scheduled for a 2017 theatrical release.
