Collette Wolfe

Collette Wolfe got more than she bargained for when she auditioned for the 2006 comedy "The Foot Fist Way." She was studying sociology at grad school in Concord, North Carolina when she heard about an open casting session. Having done a little theater and some student films, she took a chance and landed the part of Denise, the taekwondo novice whom Danny McBride attempts to seduce in order to make his wife, Mary Jane Bostic, jealous. Moreover, Wolfe also won the heart of director Jody Hill, who not only proposed marriage, but also cast her in the dark shopping mall comedy "Observe and Report," in which she co-starred with Seth Rogen. Suddenly, movie roles started coming thick and fast, especially after Will Ferrell boosted "The Foot Fist Way" and found Wolfe work in his 2008 sports romp, "Semi-Pro." Following supporting turns in "Four Christmases" and "17 Again," Wolfe took guest slots as Tyler Labine's love interest in "Reaper," "bridezilla" Kiki Donovan in "Greek," and the farm girl who believes Neil Patrick Harris is astronaut Neil Armstrong in "How I Met Your Mother." Yet while she played John Cusack's sister and Clark Duke's mother in the 1980s sequences of the 2010 time-traveling comedy "Hot Tub Machine" and Patton Oswalt's sister in the 2011 thirtysomething romcom "Young Adult," Wolfe has tended to be more effective in sitcoms, playing Jill, the kindergarten teacher who becomes a party animal by night, in "100 Questions," and Dan Byrd's reluctant college sweetheart, Kirsten, in "Cougar Town."
