Ash's bond with his daughter strengthens as more Knights of Sumeria join Pablo and him to defeat evil. Kelly decides to go after Ruby herself while Ash and team, along with the knights enter the rift and face a battle of their own.

Gabrielle (Renee O’Connor) and Aphrodite (Alexandra Tydings) have until sundown to save Xena’s (Lucy Lawless) soul from being trapped inside a young girl forever. When Xena stops a group of Tharon’s (Peter Feeney) thugs from stealing treasures from Aphrodite’s temple, she sees a dying young girl named Daphne (Rose McIver). Deeply moved by the child’s plight, Xena remarks she would change places with her if she could. Aphrodite takes her at her word and morphs Xena’s life force into Daphne. The only problem is that Aphrodite does not successfully complete the transfer and Daphne awakens to discover Xena is inside of her!

Hercules (Kevin Sorbo) reminisces about the accidental death of a childhood bully, when Celesta (Belinda Waymouth) arrives to take the brother of the deceased boy to the Elysian Fields.

Xena and Gabrielle (Lucy Lawless, Renee O'Connor) are freed from their icy prison after 25 years and set out to find Eve (Adrienne Wilkinson), who has become a fearless commander in Rome. On their way to Rome to find Octavius and Eve, Xena and Gabrielle run into Joxer (Ted Raimi) and his family, who are overjoyed to see them again. As luck would have it, Joxer's son Virgil (William Gregory Lee) lives in Rome, so he and Joxer join in Xena and Gabrielle's quest.

Darken Rahl's D'Haran soldiers capture Renn, a ten-year-old boy known as a Listener, a person with the ability to read anyone's thoughts, and a very valuable tool for those who control him. When Richard and Kahlan take Renn from his captors, the mind-reading child threatens to reveal their deepest of secrets to each other.
