Cody Kearsley
While many knew actor Cody Kearsley for his presence on screen-notably playing Moose Mason on the TV series "Riverdale" (CW, 2017)-fewer may realize just how accomplished he was on stage. Born in British Columbia, Canada, Kearsley began training as a dancer at the young age of three. He would stick to this craft throughout his youth, eventually winning a scholarship to Los Angeles' EDGE Performing Arts Center after graduating high school. Once he had finished his studies there, Kearsley began branching out into acting, enrolling at L.A.'s Theater of Arts, where he graduated three years later with the school's prestigious "Michael Chekhov Award" for most promising actor. He would subsequently begin a stage acting career that included stints with Ark Theatre Company and The Blank Theatre, notably starring in an acclaimed production of "Coyote on a Fence" at the Arena Stage in 2013. A role in the buzzed-about short film "Borealis" (2016) brought Kearsley to the screen in 2016, soon followed by his breakout TV role as Moose on "Riverdale," a dark, modern reimagining of the long-running Archie comic books, which revolve around a group of students at the titular Riverdale High School.
