Coby Ryan McLaughlin
With his chiseled features and athletic physique, Coby Ryan McLaughin has a screen presence audiences may very likely recognize--even if they can't recall his name. It also doesn't hurt that the versatile McLaughlin has appeared (albeit typically in minor side roles) in some of the most popular TV shows on the air. The actor's first role came in 1999 with a background part in a single episode of the hugely popular and influential sci-fi mystery series "The X-Files." Following in that very same year, however, McLaughlin landed his first recurring part, playing Todd in four episodes of the sex-centric dramedy "Undressed." Building upon his low-key success on television, he branched out into film acting in 2003, taking on a supporting role in the Stephen Baldwin-starring action project "Lost Treasure," a film few saw and (apparently) even fewer enjoyed. But that flop was a minor speed bump on what developed into an otherwise diverse and successful resume. McLaughlin scored a two-episode gig on the popular crime-drama "Bones," and in 2008, he earned his biggest TV exposure with a two-episode stint on the enormously popular comedy smash "Two and a Half Men." For McLaughlin, TV was the place to be, and he continued to pad his resume with quality one-off roles on shows like the super quirky fantasy-dramedy "Eli Stone" and the long-running crime-drama "CSI: NY."
