When Rebecca Tolliver (guest star Lois Smith) reports that her daughter Katie (guest star Andrea Fay Friedman), a 22-year-old woman with Down Syndrome, has been raped and as a result is now pregnant, Detectives Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Stabler (Christopher Meloni) face the delicate task of determining if Katie was indeed sexually assaulted--or if her over-protective mother is in denial that her daughter has chosen to consummate her relationship with her boyfriend (guest star Badge Dale).

Holmes engages an old foe to protect his father after he learns Morland (John Noble) is in danger of being killed. Also, Holmes and Watson search for a killer connected to the tobacco industry when a lawyer who was in the process of reviewing a major cigarette distributor’s finances is murdered.

On the way home with his family, Danny hits a man with his car who is fleeing from a gunman, and his family gets caught in the crossfire when Danny fires his weapon at the gunman. Frank deals with 9/11 guilt from impending loss of a friend whom he worked alongside at Ground Zero.

Philip and Elizabeth are put to the test when a routine mission goes horribly wrong. Stan and the FBI are pushed to their limit when one of their own goes missing.

As Philip investigates the fallout from the last operation, Elizabeth sticks close to home, concerned for her family until she gets a mysterious distress signal. Meanwhile, a walk-in arrives at the Rezidentura – providing both Nina and Stan with unique opportunities.
