A new boss is hired at Delicious and does some downsizing. After re-interviewing, Spencer keeps his job but Mona is promoted. The two try to deal with how to remain friends not that their professional roles have changed. Big Dee Dee tells Dee Dee that she can pick the baby's name but she can't come up with one that won't be ridiculed .

When Mona has Spencer pretend to be her boyfriend at her friend's wedding, Spencer realizes that he has had romantic feelings for Mona since college. Meanwhile, Dee Dee decides to break up with her boyfriend when she learns about his matrimonial desires .

Phyllis tries to set Mona up with handsome firefighter Glen (Coby Bell), but he winds up falling for Phyllis.

After finding out her rival will be writing her six-month performance review for the agency, Dee Dee makes an effort to tighten up her relationship with Brett outside the office. The two have a little too much to drink one night and wake up the next morning in Dee Dee's apartment clueless as to how they got there. Mona and Spencer trick Adam into thinking he won a sweepstakes .
