The team investigates a serial killer who is targeting women at a small college in Flagstaff, Arizona. The BAU shuts down the campus, creates a detailed profile of the unsub, and arrests a suspect. However, the team members begin to have doubts about themselves when another woman is killed while the suspect is in custody.

Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and the detectives of the Special Victims Unit investigate the alleged rape of a sorority pledge on a college campus. Their attempts to piece together the events of the crime are thwarted by drunk students and conflicting accounts. As the detectives pursue the case, they unearth a widespread university culture of school administrators and students that look the other way instead of protecting their own.

A double homicide of an older man and his younger girlfriend casts suspicion on both the ex-wife and the former boyfriend of the murdered duo. Once the ex-boyfriend is cleared of suspicion, the investigation begins focusing again on the ex-wife with the dead man's murdered son holding the key to the mystery.

Detectives Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and Curtis (Benjamin Bratt) are thrown into a search for a disturbed killer when a murdered mailman and a severely tortured woman, hanging on for her life, are found. They arrest a serial killer who confesses to the crimes and is eager to make a deal to avoid the death penalty, but Assistant District Attorneys McCoy (Sam Waterston) and Carmichael (Angie Harmon) find themselves in a moral dilemma when they discover that the wrong killer is in custody. S. Epatha Merkerson and Steven Hill also star.

Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) painfully learns that someone close may have betrayed him and Claude (guest star Christopher Eccleston). Matt’s (Greg Grunberg) world spirals out of control when radioactive man Ted Sprague (guest star Matthew John Armstrong) and Hana Gitelman (guest star Stana Katic), a fierce young woman with "wireless" mental abilities, drop into his life. After blood is spilled, Hiro (Golden Globe nominee Masi Oka) makes a difficult decision about his mission. Claire (Hayden Panettiere) is unable to contain her anger at her father (Jack Coleman).
