Christian Oliver
German actor Christian Oliver showed his talent on the Hollywood big screen, appearing in a long line of successful films. He began his acting career with roles in the series "Sliders" (1994-99), "V.I.P." (1998-2002) and "Undressed" (MTV, 1999-2003). He also worked in film during these years, including roles in "The Baby-Sitter's Club" (1995) with Schuyler Fisk and "Eat Your Heart Out" (1998). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Nora Roberts' Tribute" (Lifetime, 2008-09). In the early 2000s, he acted in "Subject Two" (2006) with Jurgen Jones, the George Clooney suspenseful adaptation "The Good German" (2006) and the Emile Hirsch sci-fi picture "Speed Racer" (2008). He also appeared in the action film "Valkyrie" (2008) with Tom Cruise. He also worked in television around this time, including a part on "The Comeback" (HBO, 2004-2015). Oliver's more recent roles included "Ready or Not" (2009), the action picture "The Three Musketeers" (2011) with Logan Lerman and "House of Good and Evil" (2014). He held additional roles in television including a part on "Crossing Lines" (2012-). More recently, Oliver produced "Zipper" (2015), "The Outer Wild" (2018) and "Wrong Turn" (2021). Christian Oliver and his two young daughters died January 4, 2024 when their plane, owned by the pilot, crashed into the sea off a Caribbean island. The girls were 12 and 10, respectively and Christian, 51 at the time of their deaths.
