Chrissy Teigan

A snapshot of Chrissy Teigen's life at first glance seems like something out of an absurdly unrealistic chick flick: a world famous supermodel, Teigen was also a respected food blogger and happened to be married to one of the most handsome and romantic men in the entertainment world, neo-soul singer John Legend. The daughter of a Norwegian father and Thai mother was actually a bit of a tomboy until she caught the eye of a photographer while working at a surf shop in Huntington Beach, California. This led to her work as a model, landing a coveted gig on the cover of the men's publication Maxim's annual calendar in 2007. Her modeling career grew when she made her debut appearance in the "Sports Illustrated" Swimwear Issue, one of the most coveted appearances in the modeling business, in 2010, when she was named "Rookie of the Year". By then a hot swimwear supermodel, she appeared as herself on such television shows as "America's Next Top Model" (UPN 2003-2014), "Late Show with David Letterman" (CBS 1993-2014) and "Good Day L.A." (Fox 1993-). She also hosted the reality TV competition "Model Employee" (VH1 2013) and was a guest the same year for several episodes on the perennial game show "The Price is Right" (CBS 1972-). Her love of food led to her guest appearances on several food-centric television shows such as "The Chew" (ABC 2011-) and in June 2011, she started up her own foodie blog sodelushious.com. Teigen's 2013 marriage to musician John Legend, after several years of dating, was a celebrity event. Along with her continuing modeling and food careers, which included the release of her first cookbook, Cravings (2016), Teigen became the co-host of the Jimmy Fallon-produced reality competition "Lip Sync Battle" (Spike 2015-) and joined Tyra Banks' short-lived lifestyle series "FABlife" (syndication 2015-16) as the show's resident food stylist. Teigen also began well-known as a Twitter personality, both sharing anecdotes about her home life with Legend and their two children and commenting caustically on the presidency of Donald Trump.
