Chad James Buchanan

Chad Buchanan was an American actor and model who was best known for his recurring role as Hunter Morgan on the Fox series "Star" (Fox, 2016-). Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Buchanan's first love was sports. He excelled in multiple sports in high school, including swimming, wrestling and lacrosse. He was also the star quarterback of his high school football team. Buchanan could have easily landed an athletic scholarship that would have taken him to one of the top universities in the country, but instead he moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting. The acting work came later, however, as Buchanan initially found work as a professional model. He was quickly signed by a top modeling agency, and within a few months was traveling the world on campaigns for Versace, Calvin Klein, and various other international brands. Through it all, however, Buchanan longed to be acting, and in 2011 he nabbed his first role on the film "God Don't Make the Laws" (2011). Buchanan was immediately hooked and over the next several years he landed a number of TV guest spots on such popular shows as "Glee" (Fox, 2009-2015), "Grey's Anatomy" (ABC, 2005-), and "Jane the Virgin" (The CW, 2014-). With his acting career already on the rise, Buchanan nabbed his breakout role in 2016 with a recurring role on the Fox series "Star." Buchanan played Hunter Morgan on 12 episodes of the series, before joining the cast of the Marvel series "Inhumans" (ABC, 2017-) in 2017.
