Chabelo

Xavier López Rodríguez was born in Chicago, Illinois. He was drafted into the US Army during the Korean War and was on track to become a doctor. While studying medicine, he worked as a fill-in actor at the Televisa network. It was around this time he became known as Chabelo and went on tour with Pepsi as their spokesperson. Upon his return, he started the Latin American television family series, "En familia con Chabelo." Chabelo was in the film "Macho Que Ladra No Meurde II" (1987), the film "Amar" (2009) and more recently, the series "Sky High: The Series" (Netflix, 2023).
