Cassie Steele
Cassie Steele made her first professional appearance at age 10 in the television series "Relic Hunter," which was followed by the recurring role of Manny Santos in "Degrassi: The Next Generation." Steele was 11 at the time, and would play the character of Manny from 2001 to 2009 across more than 140 episodes and numerous television movies, including 2010's "Degrassi Takes Manhattan." During this time, she also appeared in the made-for-TV movie "Full-Court Miracle," the MTV comedy "Super Sweet 16: The Movie," and as Lucy Ramirez-Montoya on the dramatic series "The Best Years." In 2008, Steele played the character Blu on several episodes of the musical-drama show "Instant Star." Having taken voice lessons as a child, Steele is also a singer-songwriter, and has contributed to the soundtracks of both "Instant Star" and the television film "Degrassi Goes Hollywood." One of her music projects is a band with Mike Lobel, another actor from "Degrassi: The Next Generation."
