Caroline McWilliams

Born in Seattle, actress Caroline McWilliams began her television career in 1967, with an appearance on the series "Dundee and the Culhane" before earning her largest and most notable role as Janet Mason Norris on the soap opera "Guiding Light" in 1969. She played Janet from 1969 to 1975 and continued to act throughout the 1970s with appearances on "Kojak," "Quincy M.E.," and a recurring role on the soap opera spoof series "Soap" in 1978. McWilliams returned to a starring role on television in 1979 with the part of Marcy Hill on "Benson"; the show proved to be the last major role for the actress. She continued to act in the 1980s and 1990s, mainly in small character roles in made-for-TV movies like "Shattered Vows" and "Sworn to Silence," and in two feature films: 1987's action adventure "White Water Summer" and 1990's family drama "Mermaids." She stuck predominantly to television, however, and earned a recurring role in 1994 on the hit drama series "Beverly Hills, 90210." McWilliams's last role was a three-episode stint on the CBS drama "Judging Amy" in the early 2000s. On February 11, 2010, Caroline McWilliams died in Los Angeles at age 64.
