Carolina Guerra
Already well known in her native Colombia, Carolina Guerra became a famous face to English speaking audiences when she took on the role of the high Incan priestess Ima on the series "Da Vinci's Demons" (BBC, 2013-15). Guerra began modeling at the age of 13. By 16, she was acting in commercials, and by 21, she won the Miss Bogota pageant. Her first TV series appearance came in 2007 on the telenovela "Nuevo rico, nuevo pobre" (Caracol TV, 2007-08), which she quickly followed with a role on "Hilos de amor" (Caracol TV, 2010-11). In 2013, Guerra appeared in her first English language film when she co-starred in the American horror movie "The Damned" (2013), which shot entirely in Colombia. The film would prove to be instrumental in Guerra's career, as several months after the production had wrapped, Guerra received a call from her British co-star on the project Sophia Myles, who had heard about an open audition for the role of Ima on the English series "Da Vinci's Demons," and felt Guerra should give it a shot. Guerra eventually won the role, opening her up to an even wider English speaking audience. When her arc on the series ended, she began appearing as Lucy on the American crime drama "Animal Kingdom" (TNT, 2016-).
