Carol Potter
Carol Potter is an actress with a knack for playing mothers, most notably in her portrayal of Cindy Walsh on the popular drama series "Beverly Hills, 90210." Potter began acting on the stage during the 1970s and appeared on Broadway later in the decade, also transitioning to small TV parts around the same time. Featured in guest spots on shows throughout the '80s, including "The Paper Chase" and "L.A. Law," Potter found her breakout role in '90 as the affectionate mother of siblings Brandon and Brenda Walsh (Jason Priestley and Shannen Doherty, respectively) on "Beverly Hills, 90210," and she remained with the popular teen-oriented series for much of its decade-long run. Once again playing a maternal figure, Potter became a recurring character on the soap opera "Sunset Beach" during the late '90s, and had one-off appearances on shows such as "Providence," "Crossing Jordan," and "Medium," though she remains most famous as "90210" mom Cindy Walsh.
