Carmen Salinas

Carmen Salinas was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Salinas's career in acting began with her roles in various films like the drama "El Rincon de las Virgenes" (1972) with Alfonso Arau, the comedic adaptation "Calzonzin Inspector" (1974) with Alfonso Arau and "El Lugar Sin Limites" (1978) with Roberto Cobo. She also appeared in "Tiempo de Lobos" (1981), "El Dia Que Murio Pedro Infante" (1984) and "Mexicano, Tu Puedes" (1985). She continued to act in productions like "La Raza Nunca Pierde - Huele a Gas" (1987) with Miguel Angel Rodriguez, the drama "Corrupcion" (1987) with Eduardo Loys and the Gilberto Trujillo drama "Olor a Muerte" (1987). She also appeared in "Nos Reimos de la Migra" (1987). In her more recent career, she tackled roles in "Danzon" (1992), "Santos Peregrinos" (2004) and the thrilling adaptation "Man on Fire" (2004) with Denzel Washington. She also appeared in the Noel Burton drama "A Silent Love" (2004) and the Kate Del Castillo drama "Under the Same Moon" (2008). Salinas most recently acted in the foreign "Cartas a Elena" (2012) with Jose Eduardo. Carmen Salinas died on December 9, 2021 at the age of 82.
