Carmen Aub was an up-and-coming young actress who brought both beauty and a strong bad girl vibe to her telenovela roles. Carmen Aub Romero was born, in Mexico City, D.F., Mexico to journalist Max Aub. Aub began her career as an actress with roles on shows like "ECOLE" (1999) and "Plaza Sésamo" (2000). Her first big break came in a recurring role on Telemundo's Spanish-language drama "¿Dónde está Elisa?" (2010) as Flor Cáceres. Her success and popularity on this show led to her landing her first leading role as the one of the bad girls on the Colombian telenovela "Niñas Mal" (2010). She went on to co-star on the telenovela "Esperanza del corazón" (2011) in the role of Krista Cabral Duprís, for which she was nominated for the Female Revelation Award by TVyNovelas. In 2012, Aub landed her first co-starring film role in the romantic drama "Chiapas, el Corazón del Café" (2012). Telemundo brought her back to star as Nina Piamonte in the Spanish-language telenovela "Pasión Prohibida" (2013). In 2014, she joined the cast of "El Señor de los Cielos," for which she won not only the Premios Tu Mundo 2015 award for Best Bad Girl In A Series, but also the award for Best Supporting Actress In A Series. Aub reprised her role of Rutila Casillas Letrán in the "El Señor de los Cielos" spin-off "El Chema" (2016).
