Carly Jibson
Carly Jibson fell in love with theater as a teenager in Michigan and once she got the chance at the age of 17 to move out to New York City and follow her dreams, she did as quickly as she could. Luck was on her side as mere months into her time at her new residence, she landed a major role in the National Tour of "Hairspray" as lead Tracy Turnblad. She later took the character to Broadway and was also a part of the Broadway production of "Cry Baby" as Pepper Walker. Along the way, she spent time in Chicago, worked on recording a solo album, and even staged a one-woman show. At the end of the '00s, she took time away from her career to be with her mother during the end of a hard fight with cancer. Afterwards, Jibson moved to Los Angeles in an effort to move from theater to the screen. She didn't quite have the same fast luck as her original move to New York, but after an appearance on the failed pilot "Los Feliz, 90027" (2014), she landed two bigger roles. The first was a recurring spot on the Tig Notaro-starring show "One Mississippi" (Amazon 2017-), and the second was as main character Vivian on the Greg Garcia-created show "The Guest Book" (TBS 2017-).
