Cara Theobold
Audiences the world over became acquainted with Cara Theobold through her first ever on-screen role ever on the hugely popular period drama "Downton Abbey" (ITV, 2010-2015). Born in Wakefield, England, Theobold always had an interest in acting and began appearing in local theater productions at age eight. Knowing little about the United Kingdom's National Youth Theatre, Theobold set her sights even higher, applying to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She was accepted and proceeded with the school's prestigious drama program, but a surprise opportunity cut her final year short, when she went on her first audition and won the role of Ivy. The school allowed her to finish the program early so she could join the series in 2012, immediately making her a familiar face and name. She remained grounded in her theater roots however, appearing in "London Wall" at the Finborough Theatre on the West End after her arc on the show ended the following year. She would appear on a number of TV shows throughout 2015, including "Call the Midwife" (BBC, 2012-) and "Last Tango in Halifax" (BBC, 2012-) before joining the cast of the acclaimed series "The Syndicate" (BBC, 2012-) later that year. After providing the voice of Tracer for the massively popular video game "Overwatch" in 2016, Theobold explored her more humorous side, co-starring in the horror comedy "Ibiza Undead" (2016).
