Bubba Watson

Professional golfer Bubba Watson was born Gerry Watson in Bagdad, Florida. His indelible nickname was given to him by his father, inspired by football player Bubba Smith. Watson began impressing his family and teammates as a member of the Milton High School Panthers, a team that had previously boasted members like Heath Slocum and Boo Weekley. At the University of Georgia, Watson helped the Bulldogs to two NCAA championships before turning professional in 2003, joining the Nationwide Tour. He won the Farmers Insurance Open and finished in second place at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions the following year. An even bigger win would come in 2012, when Watson won the Masters Tournament.
