Brody Jenner

Brody Jenner was an American actor who rose to prominence in the early 21st century thanks to his famous family and friends, all but ensuring himself a position in the not-so-hallowed halls of reality television. Born in Los Angeles, CA, Jenner was the second son born to actress Linda Thompson and TV personality/retired Olympian Caitlyn Jenner. Jenner's parents divorced when he was two, and Caitlyn subsequently married Kris Kardashian, ex-wife of defense attorney Robert Kardashian. Jenner thus became stepbrother to the Kardashian clan of children, including Kim, Khloé, and Kourtney, and gained two half-sisters when Kendall and Kylie Jenner were born. Jenner's first taste of fame came from the reality TV series "The Princes of Malibu" (FOX, 2005), which followed the misadventures of Jenner, his older brother Brandon, their fellow trust fund kid friend Spencer Pratt, and Jenner's stepfather, composer and record producer David Foster. The show only lasted six episodes, as it was cancelled following Linda Thompson's divorce from Foster. Undeterred, Jenner followed Pratt into his next project, "The Hills" (MTV, 2006-2010), a spinoff of the popular reality show "Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County" (MTV, 2004-06) which soon became arguably an even bigger cultural phenomenon than its predecessor. Jenner made his biggest dent in the show when he started dating its star, Lauren Conrad, which lead to a rift between him and Spencer Pratt, the series' erstwhile villain. Once his arc on "The Hills" had run its course, Jenner landed his own competition show, "Bromance" (MTV, 2008-09), in which a bunch of guys competed for the "honor" of joining Jenner's entourage. Shockingly, this noble experiment only lasted one season, after which Jenner focused on his modeling career, posing for ad campaigns for Guess clothing, Agent Provocateur underwear, and OP. He also occasionally popped up on his extended family's reality TV offerings, including "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" (E!, 2007-), "Kourtney and Kim Take New York" (E!, 2011), and "I Am Cait" (E!, 2015). In 2015, Jenner returned to TV as the host of the racy talk/advice show "Sex with Brody" (E!, 2015), and most recently could be seen alongside his now ex-wife, Kaitlynn Carter, appearing on "The Hills: New Beginnings" (MTV, 2019-).
