Brian Patrick Wade
Brian Patrick Wade turned his youthful interest in working out into a successful business as an Los Angeles-based trainer. His toned physique helped clinch his debut role as a lap dancer on "CSI: Miami," and before long Wade was landing steady supporting work. He appeared as one-half of a gay couple in "Latter Days," about a hard-partying player who falls for a Mormon missionary, and was cast in a minor role in 2006's "The Guardian." The following year Wade brought an arrogant jock mentality to his stint as Penny's dim-witted ex-boyfriend Kurt on the first season of "The Big Bang Theory," and proved a worthy foil for the timid Leonard (Johnny Galecki). In 2008 he landed a major break when David Simon cast him as a loudmouthed Marine Corps captain on "Generation Kill." The series, based on the embedded accounts of a Rolling Stone reporter in the 2003 invasion of Iraq, pushed the boundaries of Wade's talent and stamina. A steady stream of supporting work followed, and in 2013 the married father of two appeared as Ennis, a brutally skilled Alpha werewolf, on the teen-centric MTV reboot of "Teen Wolf."
