Brian Avers

Actor Brian Avers was most commonly known for his roles in television dramas. Avers made acting appearances on "Law & Order" (1990-2010), "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (NBC, 1999-) and "NCIS" (CBS, 2003-). He also appeared in "Medium" (2005-2011), "The Closer" (TNT, 2005-2012) and "Life on Mars" (ABC, 2008-09). Following that project, he worked on the romantic comedy "Gigantic" (2009) with Paul Dano, the comedy "How to Seduce Difficult Women" (2009) with Louis-Do De Lencquesaing and the romantic comedy "Julie & Julia" (2009) with Meryl Streep. He also played parts in television during these years, including roles in "Castle" (ABC, 2009-2016) and "NCIS: Los Angeles" (CBS, 2009-). He shifted from film to television work through the 2010s, appearing on "Blue Bloods" (2010-), "Person of Interest" (CBS, 2011-16) and "Unforgettable" (2011-16). He also appeared in "Elementary" (CBS, 2012-) and "Golden Boy" (CBS, 2013). Most recently, Avers directed "The Weekend" (2013).
