Bret Baier

American journalist and news host Bret Baier was born in Rumson, New Jersey. He graduated from DePauw University with a degree in political science and English. His career in television started at a local station, before he moved on to an affiliate of CBS. Baier went on to become Fox News' network chief for Atlanta, in 1998. In 2001, he moved on to become a Pentagon correspondent instead, covering American military action in both Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2007 he became the White House correspondent for Fox News and later transitioned to a full-time hosting position on the show Special Report (Fox News Channel, 1998-). He has earned several awards for his work as a journalist since.
