Monk and Natalie are cleaning Monk's apartment when they get an unexpected knock on the door. It's Sherry Judd, who went to junior high school with Monk. Intruders have murdered her housekeeper and defaced a painting of her grandmother, and she'd like Monk to investigate. Monk had a big crush on Sherry when they were young, and seeing her again unleashes a flood of memories and emotions. Monk agrees to help her.

In the fifth season premiere, solving the murder of a jogger takes on even greater urgency when Jane realizes that the motive was theft … of the woman’s baby. As the investigation gets underway, Jane attempts to hide her pregnancy from her snooping mother, and Maura and Frankie face the aftermath of their kiss.

The agents' job is harder than usual because they must find a woman, Eve (Kaitlin Doubleday), who changes her appearance to suit whatever modeling or acting job she is seeking at the time. No one seems to know Eve well, including her roommate, who files the missing persons report when she notices that Eve's beloved cat has not been fed for days. Jack and the team find a half-packed suitcase in Eve's room but few other clues. The investigation becomes more illuminating when the squad members interview people associated with the modeling agency that Eve occasionally worked for. Meanwhile, Jack is haunted by an old case that he still cannot solve for a grieving father, Chet Collins (recurring guest star Charles Dutton - "Roc," "The Corner").

Pandemonium ensues as the hybrids continue their roundup of the humans during the hurricane, while Underlay and Russell try to put together a rescue plan.

Russell discovers that his job may be in jeopardy because of his investigation of the hybrids.
