Brendon Walsh

Perhaps best summed up by the name of his 2014 tour, "Bearded, Juvenile," Brendon Walsh began his stand-up career at the relatively late age of 29 before his goofy and twisted sense of humor became a regular fixture on Comedy Central. Born in Philadelphia, Walsh attended the same Central High School as Bill Cosby and The Three Stooges' Larry Fine, but took his time following in their comedic footsteps, spending the first ten years of his working life as a carpenter building sets for various theatre companies. After moving to Austin, Texas, Walsh began performing on the city's comedy circuit, and in 2004, he was crowned the Funniest Person in Austin and made his national TV debut playing his original character, Scary Monster, on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" (ABC, 2003-) After appearing on the final season of "Premium Blend" (Comedy Central, 1997-2005) and the fourth season of "Last Comic Standing" (NBC, 2003-), Walsh began touring extensively as the opening act for Doug Stanhope and added to his awards tally when he won the $10,000 Grand Prize on the Comedy Stage at Famecast.com. Walsh's profile received a further boost in 2008 when he appeared in the New Faces showcase at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal; two years later, he returned there to film his own "Funny As Hell" (HBO, 2010) special. Following guest spots on "John Oliver's New York Stand Up Show" (Comedy Central, 2010-) and "Conan" (TBS, 2010-), Walsh made his film debut in crime thriller "Delivered" (2011) and became a regular on "The Smoking Gun Presents: World's Dumbest. ." (truTV, 2008-2014). In 2012, Walsh was given his own slot on the stand-up showcase "The Half Hour" (Comedy Central, 2012-), and went onto make several appearances on Chris Hardwick's improv panel show "@midnight" (Comedy Central, 2013-) before landing minor roles in cult sitcoms "Legit" (FX, 2013-14) and "Maron" (IFC, 2013-16).
