Branscombe Richmond

Hard-working Native American actor Branscombe Richmond has brought a scowl or an easy smile to a host of characters for films and TV series, most memorably as the head of a bounty-hunter agency on the drama "Renegade," featuring Lorenzo Lamas. The son of an actor and stuntman, he naturally gravitated to the same pursuits, working on films and series in both capacities by the mid '70s, often playing guard or thug roles, and frequently portraying men of Hawaiian descent. He made repeat appearances in such hit shows of the '80s as "The A-Team" and "Magnum, P.I.," and in action films including "Commando," featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger, and "Action Jackson," with Carl Weathers. Richmond's most visible role was that of Bobby Sixkiller, a bounty hunter sent to capture former cop Lorenzo Lamas, who has been framed for murder. The two characters joined forces, dodging the law and aiming to clear Lamas's name for five seasons of "Renegade," the successful syndicated series. Richmond's other feature work includes the fantasy adventure "The Scorpion King" and the hit comedy "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." Richmond is a celebrated motorcycle enthusiast who has served as the official spokesman for Indian Motorcycles and was inducted into the Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2003. He has earned numerous titles including Native American Entertainer of the Year and Mr. Showman of the Year, in part for his concerts with his country-tinged rock band, Branscombe Richmond and the Renegade Posse.
