Brad Turner

Emmy Award-winning television producer, Brad Turner, graduated from the Television Arts Program at H. B. Beal Secondary School in London, Ontario, with honors, then pursued work in television in earnest. He earned his first TV credit in 1979, when he served as a Second Unit Director on the Canadian series "The Littlest Hobo." Turner worked in this capacity on several productions including the TV movies "Spot Marks the X" and "Stone Fox." In 1987, he stepped up to the director's chair on the golf comedy "Goofballs," after which he quickly moved into directing television, where he has spent much of his career. Starting out helming episodes of "Mom P.I." and the 1980s version of "The Twilight Zone," he soon snagged directing gigs on more popular shows like "21 Jump Street" and "Lonesome Dove: The Outlaw Years." This led to TV movies and work on series like "La Femme Nikita" and "The Outer Limits." Steadily building a reputation for balancing action and tension, it's little wonder he joined the crew of the action-packed thriller series, "24" in 2004. He's directed a total of 46 episodes of the hit series, and he won the Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series in 2006 alongside the show's other producers. Turner has also garnered praise for the thriller mini-series "Human Cargo," which earned him a Directors Guild of Canada Award. Since "24" wrapped in 2010, Turner has become a director and producer on the buzz-inducing remake of "Hawaii Five-0."
