Charlie's Angels, three bright, beautiful, athletic and police-trained private detectives become involved in a whirlwind of danger when they invest-igate the death of a woman stock car racer in the premiere episode of the new detective-drama series, "Charlie's Angels." In "Hellride," Sabrina becomes a race driver while Kelly, Jill and Bosley assume unusual disguises to learn why a pretty woman driver lost control of her car and died in a flaming wreck. They discover a conspiracy that extends far beyond the track.

Lisa tells Lori yet another version of how she and Oliver met. In this one she was living in a Paris apartment with her father the deposed King of Hungary. While he was plotting his return to power Lisa was working as a waitress at a sidewalk cafe when Oliver stopped by for six bottles of champagne. The King wants her to marry a baron who will bankroll his army but Lisa loves poor American Oliver Douglas.

While attending a sporting event Barnaby thinks he's spotted a man who robbed over $500,000 in gold from the gold exchange nearly 10 years ago. He's also believed to have died in a plane crash over the ocean while making off with the loot.

After Mel refuses to listen to Alice's ideas on improving working conditions, she quits her job at the diner and is promptly replaced by Blanche, a prototype food-service robot, whose charm and efficiency impress the customers.
