Beth Chapman
Beth Chapman was born Alice Elizabeth Smith in Denver, CO. Beth achieved notability thanks to her costarring role on the reality television program "Dog the Bounty Hunter" (A&E 2004-2012). The series chronicled the exploits of bail bondsperson Beth and bounty hunter Duane Chapman, a.k.a. Dog, whom Beth married in 2006 after the two met in Colorado and then moved to Honolulu, HI, together. The series was shot predominantly in the state of Hawaii. Beth and Duane's three children, Cecily, Garry, and Bonnie, appeared regularly on the series as well. Following its cancelation in 2012, Beth and Duane co-headlined the spin-off series "Dog and Beth: On the Hunt" (CMT 2013-15), which followed a similar bent to "Dog the Bounty Hunter." In 2017, Beth was diagnosed with throat cancer; her experiences with the disease would be chronicled in the TV movie "Dog and Beth: Fight of Their Lives" (A&E 2017). Two years later, the couple launched another spin-off series, "Dog's Most Wanted" (WGN America 2019-). However, on June 26, 2019, Beth Chapman died following health complications resultant of her cancer.
