Ben Corbett

Ben Corbett was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Corbett began his acting career with roles in such films as "Lightning Bryce" (1919), "The Man From Hardpan" (1927) and "Somewhere in Sonora" (1927) with Ken Maynard. He also appeared in "Phantom of the Desert" (1930), "Bar-L Ranch" (1930) with Buffalo Bill Jr and "The Kid From Arizona" (1931). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the thirties, appearing in the western "The Outlaw Tamer" (1935) with Lane Chandler, the western "The Ivory-Handled Gun" (1935) with Buck Jones and "Circle of Death" (1935). He also appeared in the western "The Silent Code" (1935) with Kane Richmond. Toward the end of his career, he tackled roles in the western "Gold Mine in the Sky" (1938) with Gene Autry, "Lawless Valley" (1938) and "Texas Wildcats" (1939). He also appeared in the western "The Fighting Renegade" (1939) with Tim McCoy and the western "Code of the Cactus" (1939) with Tim McCoy. Corbett more recently worked on the Alan Ladd western "Drum Beat" (1954).
