Barbara Lawrence

Barbara Lawrence was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Lawrence's earliest roles were in film, including "Margie" (1946) with Jeanne Crain, "A Letter to Three Wives" (1948) and "Captain From Castile" (1948) with Tyrone Power. She also appeared in the Jeanne Crain musical "You Were Meant For Me" (1948), the Dan Dailey drama "Give My Regards to Broadway" (1948) and the Mark Stevens crime feature "The Street With No Name" (1948). Her passion for acting continued to her roles in projects like the comedy "Mother Is a Freshman" (1949) with Loretta Young, the Richard Conte drama "Thieves' Highway" (1949) and the comedy "Peggy" (1950) with Diana Lynn. She also appeared in the musical "Two Tickets to Broadway" (1951) with Tony Martin. Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in the dramatic adaptation "Her Twelve Men" (1954) with Greer Garson, "Man Without a Gun" (1955) with Robert Mitchum and the Gordon MacRae adaptation "Oklahoma!" (1955). She also appeared in "Kronos" (1957) and "Man in the Shadow" (1957). Lawrence last acted in the Anjela Lauren Smith dramatic comedy "Babymother" (2000). Lawrence passed away in November 2013 at the age of 85.
