Aure Atika

Born in Portugal, actress Aure Atika was of French and Jewish Moroccan parentage. Her mother, Ode Atika Bitton and her father Michel Fournier, both actors and directors, raised their daughter in Paris, France. Atika made her film debut in the 1976 film "The Adolescent" as an uncredited background actor, but it wasn't until 1992 that she had a credited role, when she played the role of Eva in "Sam suffit." Atika followed this effort with appearances in four short films between the years of 1995 and 1997. In 1997 Atika also appeared in the French movies "La Vérité si je mens!," "The Secret of Polichinelle" and "Long Live the Republic". The following year she had roles in the movies "Grève party" and "Bimboland". In 1999 Atika appeared as Sandrine Anthen in the movie "Influence Peddling", and as Josee in "Une vie de prince". Throughout the early 2000s Atika continued to appear in French films including "Highway Melody," "Poetical Refugee", and the sequel to "La Vérité si je mens!" Also a director, Atika won the 2004 Best French-Language Short Film Award at the Creteil Internationale Women's Film Festival for her debut film "A quoi ça sert de voter écolo?" (What's The Point of Voting Green?"). In 2016 Atika appeared as Sophie in the television mini-series "The Night Manager" (AMC 2016).
