Ashley Gardner
Despite having built a distinguished career on stage and screen, Ashley Gardner is most often recognized for her voice work, having provided the voice of the adulterous Nancy Hicks Gribble on the animated sitcom "King of the Hill." Gardner earned a bachelor's degree from the North Carolina School of the Arts, and began her acting career in New York's regional theatres. She steadily built her reputation in theater, where she has been seen most often. She made her film debut in 1989 in the drama "Heart of Dixie," based on the novel by Anne Rivers Siddons. In 1991, she made her first television appearance as a hot-to-trot librarian on the hit comedy series "Seinfeld." Gardner appeared on a number of popular shows including the sitcoms"The Drew Carey Show," "Spin City," and the dark drama "Six Feet Under." In 1997, she became part of the vocal cast for Mike Judge's animated comedy "King of the Hill." The series had an impressive run that ended in 2010. Over the course of 13 seasons, Gardner worked on 125 episodes, including a few where she substituted for Pamela Adlon, who is usually the voice of Bobby Hill.
