Artie Shaw

Artie Shaw brought his musical talents to a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. Shaw worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Across 110th Street" with Anthony Quinn (1972). In the eighties and the nineties, Shaw's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like the Mia Farrow comedy "Radio Days" (1987) and the action picture "The Rocketeer" (1991) with Billy Campbell. Shaw's music was also featured in the Leonardo DiCaprio smash hit biopic drama "The Aviator" (2004), the dramatic biopic "The Notorious Bettie Page" (2006) with Gretchen Mol and "Flags of Our Fathers" (2006) with Ryan Phillippe. His music was also featured in the Patrick Fugit comedy adaptation "Wristcutters: A Love Story" (2007) and the Chadwick A Boseman biographical drama "42" (2013). Shaw was most recently credited in the drama "Cake" (2014) with Jennifer Aniston. Shaw passed away in December 2004 at the age of 94.
