When Ted takes a date to see a new hit movie, "The Wedding Bride," he is shocked to learn the story is loosely based on his life, and that it was written by Tony, the man Stella left him for at the altar. Judy Greer guest stars as Royce, Ted's date. Jason Lewis, Malin Akerman and Chris Kattan guest star as the movie versions of Tony, Stella and Ted.

The wedding day is finally here and Sabrina’s mom has hired the camera crew from “Modern Family” to capture the whole blessed event. But a series of catastrophes threatens to ruin the day, including a battle between Maw Maw and Reverend Bob (guest star Jordan). So Burt and Virginia scramble to save the ceremony and keep Jimmy and Sabrina in ignorant, matrimonial bliss. Then, as a wedding gift, Barney offers to fly Jimmy and Sabrina to Los Angeles for a taping of “Yo Zappa Do,” Hope’s favorite show. But due to Jimmy’s fear of flying, the entire family embarks on a road trip instead. Meanwhile, Burt and Virginia agree to take in Ricardo (guest star Valderrama) as a house guest, but he soon wears out his welcome.

Thanksgiving Day arrives but Casey and Rusty find themselves stranded in Cyrus when their parents go to Maui instead. Casey thinks she’ll have time to herself but Rebecca joins her in the empty ZBZ house after she decides not to go home either. Casey plans to make her karma better by volunteering in town and Rebecca joins, turning it into a mini-competition per usual. When they’re told there are too many volunteers they host an “orphan Thanksgiving” at the ZBZ house with frozen pizza. Evan and Cappie think this is a great time to hang out since the campus is empty so plan to meet up for golf. Cappie realizes he forgot about the annual KT turkey hunt and when the guys remind him how much he’s missed at the house lately he blows off Evan for the brothers. When a clue in the Turkey Hunt leads the KTs to the OX house, Cappie tries to get them to leave without pulling a prank, but someone secretly defaces an OX plague on the way out. Rusty and Dale’s plan to host a Thanksgiving Day dinner get cancelled when Rusty starts making headway on his engineering project but Dale’s has a mishap that could cause him to lose the grant they’re both competing for in the program. This makes Dale more competitive than ever even leading him to sneak a peek at Rusty’s project causing Rusty not to trust his friend. The KT’s invite everyone over to their house, and shockingly agree to let Evan in as well. Somehow managing to have a calm night, Casey decides to walk home and Cappie joins her after realizing that maybe he made the wrong decision to follow Evan’s advice to not get back with her. On their way to ZBZ they finally profess their true feelings and end up in the kiss we’ve been waiting seasons to see!

Will earns the respect of his new colleagues. A Resistance attack comes to the home front and brings the Bowman family together. Katie gets to know Will's team. Maddie finds a new job that makes the most of her talents.
