Cody is ecstatic because he's now the favorite to win the Boston Spelling Bee. But after Zack borrows money from Cody's toughest competitor and has not way of paying him back, Zack is forced to ask Cody to throw the competition so competitor will forgive his brother's debts.

A con-artist Father and Daughter team arrive at the Tipton. Zack, Cody, Maddie and Carey must pull together to show Mr. Moseby that he is being taken advantage of.

Cody's been tapped to be the editor-in-chief for the school newspaper, so Zack asks for a position.

It's International Appreciation Day at Zack and Cody's school and Zack decides to ask Moseby's hotel guest, Kumiko, the famous Japanese Opera star, to be his "show and tell" for his school project.

The news of a visit from Mr. Tipton gets the employees reminiscing about their good deeds as they try to figure out who deserves a possible bonus. But when it is determined that one of them is about to be fired, all fingers point to Carey.
