Angus Sampson is regarded as one of Australia’s most distinctive, diverse and successful performers with an
extensive body of work spanning film, theatre and television.
Angus was the recipient of two Golden Globe nominations for Fargo – Best Limited Series and George Miller’s
Mad Max: Fury Road – Best Motion Picture. Angus’ season of Fargo received the prestigious Peabody Award
whilst Mad Max: Fury Road was also nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards.
Feature film credits include Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga for George Miller, Next Goal Wins for Taika Waititi, Where
the Wild Things Are for Spike Jonze, Legend of The Guardians for Zach Snyder, the box office smash Insidious
franchise for James Wan, grossing over $800million worldwide and 100 Bloody Acres in which Angus was AACTA
nominated plus many more including internationally acclaimed crime film The Mule starring Hugo Weaving, that
Angus helped produce, write, and direct.
Television credits include many prestige series such as Peabody Award winning Reservation Dogs for FX/Hulu,
Our Flag Means Death for HBO, AMC’s The Walking Dead, George RR Martin’s Nightflyers, Shut Eye for Hulu,
Stephen King’s The Stand for CBS and Fargo for FX. Locally Angus’ television credits include Spirited, Party
Tricks, Paper Giants: Magazine Wars and Working Dog‘s Thank God You’re Here.
Angus combines all this with ongoing work as a TVC director (having helmed over 40 commercials), copywriter
and a much sought-after voice artist. Recent voice work includes Gen:Lock for HBO, Roku’s Doomlands and
Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous for Universal Pictures. Angus also narrated the Les Norton series for ABC,
voiced the villainous Goro in Mortal Kombat and multiple characters in Hulu’s Koala Man.
Angus currently stars in the Stan original hit series BUMP opposite Claudia Karvan, and also the David E. Kelley
smash hit drama The Lincoln Lawyer and Heartbreak High (Series 2) both for Netflix.
Coming up he will be seen in a slate of projects for HBO, Hulu, Netflix, Stan and Marvel.
