Andras Jones

Musician, radio DJ, and actor Andras Jones is best known for starring in "A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master." Born in Santa Cruz, California but raised in Olympia, Washington, Jones moved to Los Angeles after high school to pursue acting. His film debut was a starring role in the 1988 horror-comedy "Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-O-Rama," which also featured "scream queens" Linnea Quigley, Brinke Stevens, and Michelle Bauer as sorority pledges who inadvertently release an evil spirit with supernatural powers. The same year, Jones also played Rick Johnson, one of the lead characters in "A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master," with Robert Englund starring as Freddy Krueger. In 1989, Jones appeared in the serial killer thriller "Far from Home" with Drew Barrymore. The following year, he was cast in the action film "Tripwire" with Viggo Mortensen and Tommy Chong. Jones subsequently appeared in "The Prom," with Jennifer Jason Leigh; "Every Breath," starring Judd Nelson; and the sci-fi thriller "The Demolitionist," with Nicole Eggert. In 2001, he starred alongside Seth Green and Alice Cooper in "The Attic Expeditions" as a man who may have been wrongfully sentenced to an asylum. In addition to acting, Jones is also a musician, playing in the bands The Previous, as well as The Boon and Mr. Jones. Beginning in 1998, he hosted the music show "Radio8Ball," both on the radio and live.
