Amy Nicholson is a documentary filmmaker based in New York City whose work unearths the beauty of ordinary life with a subtle sense of humor. One of her early films was "Muskrat Lovely" (2005), an intimate portrait of a remote Chesapeake Bay community. It premiered at the Hamptons International Film Festival and was broadcast on the Emmy award-winning television series "Independent Lens."
