Amy Grant

Amy Grant worked on a variety of projects during her entertainment career. In 1977, she recorded her self-titled debut album. In 1979, she released her second Christian album, My Father's Eyes. In 1984, she made her TV debut on the music special "Story, Songs and Stars." In 1991, she released the mainstream crossover album Heart in Motion; the lead single "Baby Baby" topped the Billboard Hot 100. In 2010, she released her 22nd album, Somewhere Down the Road. In 2006, she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 1995, she recorded a cover of Joni Mitchell's "Big Yellow Taxi." Grant worked on a variety of projects during her early entertainment career, including "An All-Star Celebration Honoring Martin Luther King Jr." (NBC, 1985-86), "Christmas in Washington" (NBC, 1985-86) and "Honeymoon in Vegas" (1992) starring James Caan. She also contributed to "The 20th Annual Country Music Association Awards" (CBS, 1986-87), "The American Music Awards" (ABC, 1985-86) and "The Patti LaBelle Show" (NBC, 1985-86). In the nineties, Grant's music mostly appeared in films like the Mel Gibson blockbuster action flick "Maverick" (1994), the comedy "Speechless" (1994) with Michael Keaton and the dramatic adaptation "The Postman" (1997) with Kevin Costner. Her music was also featured in films like "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle" (2004) with John Cho and the Brad Pitt smash hit action movie "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" (2005). In addition to her music, Grant also appeared on-screen in "When You Believe: Music From "The Prince of Egypt"" (NBC, 1998-99). Grant most recently worked on "CMA Country Christmas" (ABC, 2011-12).
